Kindergarten Curriculum
Circle Time:
Students say morning prayers and the Pledge of Allegiance. They sing songs and discuss the weather and calendar.
Religion:
Children explore God’s gifts of families, friends, animals and people. They learn about God’s storybook (the Bible) and the Holy Family.
Language Arts:
Students listen to books, stories and poems based on thematic units. Students focus on a letter of the alphabet each week. Students write in journals, read independently or make pictures or projects based on the story.
Playtime:
Students practice sharing and social skills with their peers.

French:
Twice a week
Handwriting:
Students practice writing their letters and names.
Rest Time
Math:
Students use a variety of hands-on materials to solve problems and explain how they arrived at their answers.
Group Game Time:
Students play games such as “Farmer In The Dell” and “Simon Says.” This helps them develop gross motor skills, learn the rules of a game and understand the importance of playing fair.
Art, Music, Computer, Library:
Class is determined by the day of the week.
Snack and Show & Tell:
During snack, students share items brought from home. Show & Tell gives them an opportunity to develop speaking and listening skills.
